When you write an academic thesis, citing all sources used consistently is necessary. These sources are usually different from those you used in high school. Information must be sought in professional articles, conference papers, data sets, data from specialized databases, or research. In this seminar, we will show you how to cite these sources correctly and familiarize you with the basic principles of citation, in particular:
- Why citation is essential and what sources we actually cite,
- What a citation looks like in an academic text,
- The difference between direct quotation and paraphrasing,
- How to create in-text citation and a reference list according to APA 7th citation style.
