Russian politics and foreign relations in the situation of sanctions led by visiting lecturer dr. Rafał Lisiakiewicz (Cracow University of Economics, Poland).

Dr. Rafał Lisiakiewicz is a researcher at the Cracow University of Economics, Department of Political Studies. He specializes in studying Russia’s foreign policy, Polish-Russian relations, Russian political system as well as the decision-making process and geo-economics in the Russian Federation. His research interests also lie at the intersection of International Political Economy and Security.

He is the author of numerous publications in the field of Russia’s foreign policy, as well as a frequent speaker at international conferences and events (especially in Russia). Dr. Lisiakiewicz has undertaken research and scholarly activities across some eastern countries like Russia and post-soviet space. His previous research experience includes working with the ‘The Geo-strategic Choice of Russia at the Beginning of 21st Century’ project within the Institute of Russia and Eastern Europe of the Jagiellonian University and ‘The Relations Between Russia and Central European Countries’ project with The Institute of Europe Russian Academy of Science and The Central European Institute of International Relations in Budapest.
