Stéphane Crouzat has been French Ambassador to the Czech Republic since March 2024, having presented his credentials to President Petr Pavel on March 4. He was previously ambassador for climate, France's representative for international climate negotiations (2020-2024), and French ambassador to Ireland (2017-2020). He was diplomatic advisor in the cabinet of Ségolène Royal, Minister of the Environment, Energy and the Sea (2014-2017). A graduate of Sciences-Po Paris, he joined the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs on graduating from the Ecole nationale d'administration in 2001, where he worked on European issues before being appointed cooperation and cultural action advisor at the French Embassy in Warsaw (2005-2008), then press advisor at France's Permanent Representation to the United Nations in New York (2008-2011). He was also Deputy Director for Central-Eastern and Baltic Europe at the European Union Directorate (2011-2014).

The lecture will focus on global climate diplomacy.
